Clinics in affiliation with their programs at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rod is experienced in acting as Medical Investigator and consultant for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. He has provided comprehensive Insurance Medicine evaluations for many years. Dr. Rod uses this experience to direct the assessment activities in Toronto Poly Clinic. He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators and the American Academy for Disability Evaluating Physicians. Dr. Rod has a special interest in developing new formulation and delivery methods for targeted cannabinoid treatments. He has developed research and educational programs in this area. Dr. Rod is currently collaborating with multiple major universities on medical cannabis-related research and development projects.

Dr. Larissa McKetton is the Director of Scientific and Clinical Development with Cogniciti Inc., associated with the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest. As the population ages, there is an increased demand for brain health assessments, early detection, management, and treatment strategies for cognitive decline, dementia, and Alzheimer’s. As part of Cogniciti, Dr. McKetton engages in research focused on solutions to maintain cognitive health, increase independent aging, and reduce healthcare costs and caregiver support needs. Dr. McKetton brings all-encompassing experience in the healthcare space, in marketing and delivery of services to aging adults.
Having worked with industry partners, the healthcare sector, and in academia, she has a wide range of experience conducting brain-related studies encompassing aging neuroscience, multi-sensory system processing, and vascular brain health. She brings an extensive background in neuroimaging analysis, cognitive neuroscience, patient recruitment, mentorship, statistical, and business expertise.

Tina Akhavan is currently working as a Nutirion and Wellness Expert in Toronto Poly Clinic. She holds a MSc and PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Nutirional Sciences, University of Toronto. She worked as a Research Fellow at Ryerson University. She briefly worked as a Clinical Research Manager at Sickkids Hospital in the area of pain and symptom managment. Then, Tina joined a dental group practice as a Office Manager.
She has many years of experience and mentorship in conceptualization and implementation of clinical research in both children and adults. Her research publications have focused on in multidisciplinary areas of nutrition, food science, obesity, physiology, and statistics, as well as exercise on mood, appetite, and food intake regulations and how those mechanisms can reduce obesity and diabetes.

Psychological Consultant
Niusha is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She received her masters and doctoral degree in Psychology from Ryerson University in 2013. She has completed post-doctoral internships at Atlanta Psychological Services, conducting various psychological assessments on children and adults. She also completed a second post-doctoral training working with individuals with opioid dependencies at North Fulton Treatment Centre, in Atlanta, Georgia. She has extensive experience working with adults suffering from chronic pain and other related disorders such as depression and anxiety. Niusha is also a sessional Psychology instructor at the Raymond Chang School for Continuing Education at Ryerson University. She is also the psychological consultant and mental health provider at Zendose.

Mr. Claudio Cenedese is an industrial manager with 40 years of experience in multinational companies. His main core competences concern the management of innovation processes and the transformation of an idea into a product or service for the Market.
At the beginning of his career he worked in several projects of technology development and industrial automation. He then moved to the design and development of electronic products and the first IoT systems for different applications.
At the beginning of 2000 he founded and successfully directed for five years an electronic technology R&D unit (35 engineers) in St. Petersburg (RU). He also contributed to the development of other similar units in China, Czech Republic and Romania.
In recent years he has worked with several European universities, research centers and companies in cutting-edge research projects. He is inventor or co-inventor in more than 20 patents.

Ana Rita C. Duarte was born in Lisbon in 1978. Currently Associate Professor at the Chemistry Department from Faculdade de Ciências Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She was awarded an ERC consolidator grant entitled: DES.solve – When Solids Become Liquids: Natural Deep Eutectic solvents for Chemical Process Engineering, to proceed the developments on green technologies. She is the co-founder of DES Solution, a consultancy company on deep eutectic systems and green technologies. At the moment, she has 141 papers listed in web of knowledge with a total of 4720 citations, and an h-index of 37. Her main research interests are the use of green technologies for the development of biomaterials. In particular, the use of water, and supercritical fluids together with the exploration of natural deep eutectic solvents for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.

Dr. Henry Rosenblat is a psychiatrist with more than 30 years of extensive experience in different fields of psychiatry including catastrophic impairment determination. Besides his private practice in psychiatry in Toronto, he is currently assessor for many medical and health assessment centres in Canada and also IMEs for legal firms and insurance companies.
He has published numerous articles in scientific journals and has won several research awards and educational grants.
He is a member of Ontario Medical Association, Canadian Medical Protective Association, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
